AM/PM MODE
We chose to include an AM and PM mode to satisfy the wants of the students and adults. The students preferred lighter colors whereas the adults preferred the darker color scheme.
HOME SCREENS
Each home screen displays different information depending on the user. For the students home screen, the icons are larger for easier readability.
ORGANIZER Screens
On the login in screen we wanted to have fresh, freeing scene for the background so we kept the menu bar below to resemble a grassy hill. For the Calendar and Journal we used orange accents to signify where to tap next.
Benefactor Screens
For the benefactor’s screens we used the orange accent colors to signify where the user should tap.
STUDENT Screens
For the student’s screens we used a yellow accent to signify where to tap and used very simple buttons make it easier for them to follow.
ORGANIZER
INVITE
Organizers can explore, view and invite new benefactors. The invite will be sent through their messages which the benefactor can receive and view the school profile.
CALENDAR
Organizers can set up new open dates in their calendar. These open dates will later be confirmed with benefactor hosts for field trips.
EVENT CONFIRMATION
Once students votes are in, organizers can view them, confirm their times and then send out invites (seen in msgs) to the top 3 winners for them to confirm their date & time.
benefactor
explore
Benefactors can explore new schools to host and/or donate to add to their favorite’s list. They can view school bios and student profiles.
donate
Benefactors can donate by viewing a new or favorited school. They then choose if it will be a one-time or recurring gift. They can also choose to stay anonymous.
JOURNAL
After the benefactor has hosted an event, they will receive a themed thank you journal from the school. There they can view pages from the class and individual students.
STUDENT
VOTE
Students can vote on the next upcoming field trips by filling in their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices. Mini bios with pics/vids of the host can be viewed then greyed out once chosen.
journal/EdIT
After a field trip, the organizer will assign students to fill in their journal thank you page.
From the blank journal page, students can upload a picture, edit text and add themed stickers.
AVATAR
Every time the student has submitted a new journal page, a new accessory will be unlocked that they can add to their profile picture if desired.
